FAA Licensed & Fully Insured — On Every Mission

Heights Aerial Media operates every drone mission in full compliance with FAA regulations. We hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and carry $1 million in liability insurance coverage — so you can book with complete confidence.

FAA Part 107 Certified

The FAA Part 107 certification is the federal requirement for all commercial drone pilots in the United States. Earning it requires passing a rigorous knowledge test covering airspace classifications, weather patterns, aircraft operations, crew resource management, and emergency procedures. Heights Aerial Media is Part 107 certified for all commercial operations across New York City, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

$1 Million Liability Insurance

Heights Aerial Media carries $1 million in general liability insurance coverage on every mission. Whether we're shooting a commercial real estate listing in Bergen County, conducting a construction progress survey in Philadelphia, or flying a thermal inspection of a transmission line in New Jersey — your project is protected.

We can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to clients, property owners, general contractors, and site managers upon request. Just let us know before your project and we'll send it right away.

Authorized for Controlled Airspace

Most drone companies cannot legally fly in or around New York City, Newark, or Philadelphia without special authorization. Heights Aerial Media uses the FAA's LAANC (Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability) system to obtain real-time airspace authorizations for every flight in controlled airspace.

This means we can legally operate in:

- All five NYC boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island)

- Class B airspace around Newark Liberty International Airport

- Class B airspace around JFK and LaGuardia

- Class C airspace around Teterboro and Philadelphia International

If your project is in or near a major metro area, you need a drone operator with LAANC authorization. That's us.

Is Heights Aerial Media licensed and insured?

We are fully insured with $1 million in liability coverage for every mission. We can provide certificates of insurance upon request for clients who require them.
